Overview
The Employee Health Services Coordinator works collaboratively with management and administration to promote and maintain the health and safety of Carle employees by facilitating various employee health programs. The position involves the coordination and oversight of employee preplacement services and annual surveillance programs such as, influenza vaccine clinics and annual respirator mask fit. Collaborates with Infection Prevention in following up with employees for any potential exposures to communicable disease. Qualifications Certifications: Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA), Education: College Diploma: Nursing, Work Experience: Nursing Responsibilities Actively participates in continuous quality improvement and performance initiatives to support and improve care management/coordination. Actively pursues self development and professional growth by keeping abreast of new healthcare technology and practices. Applies new knowledge in the work setting and shares new learning with other employees. Acts as a role model/resource for others by providing guidance and clarification regarding policy, procedure, documentation, computer system operation and patient care needs. Assists manager with functions related to accreditation and regulatory surveys i.e. data collection, rounding/auditing, meeting preparation Collaborates with staff and managers to identify quality improvement opportunities Keeps current with OSHA standards, CDC guidelines, IDPH standards Accurately documents all EHS visit and other record keeping requirements in an accurate and timely manner Active member of the BBP, Infection Control, and Safe Patient Handling committees. Participates in the education of management staff so employees are aware of the importance of timely and accurately complete incident reports Responsible for providing employee education through application of teaching/learning principles in order to help employees understand and be informed of safety Facilitates communication and implementation for the Fit for Duty process Works with medical Director of EHS to coordinate yearly standing orders, policy review and updates Responsible for monitoring and coordinating compliance within Employee Health Services i.e. EHS staff yearly compliance, CEUs, and education as applicable Coordinates with third party regarding Pre-placement physicals Works with EHS Medical Director to educate providers as needed for proper treatment and care of employees The Employee Health Services Coordinator works collaboratively with management and administration to promote and maintain the health and safety of Carle employees by facilitating various employee health functions Annual Employee Influenza Vaccine Clinics Annual Respirator Mask Fits Coordinate, Implement, and oversee employee preplacement services Annual TB tests ass needed Monitors the CDC website for updates on immunizations and protocols Creates and updates Employee Health protocols Creates and maintains the Employee Health and Flu/clinic websites Assists Safety Officer, Infection Prevention, Departments with employee accident investigation and prevention Counsels employees exposed to communicable diseases About Us Find it here. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $31.32per hour - $53.87per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
