Job Summary This role has supply chain responsibility to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and the procurement of direct Production material including APIs in support of Fresenius Kabi USA, as well as champion the day-to-day forecasting and purchases of direct production material at each of the plants in the region. Track procurement KPIs and industry data to stay informed on pricing trends, available suppliers, quality & compliance and overall market conditions.

In addition, this position is responsible for supporting product launches as they prepare for commercial launch. Support of the buyers at the plant/s in both the procurement and management of supply. This position is the day-to-day key contact partner for all suppliers and internal functions.

Daily responsibility for forecasting, planning, organizing, and directing the sourcing activity for the above including, but not limited to, preparing bid packages/RFP, supplier selection, price negotiations, contract development, supplier on-boarding, supplier management and building strong stakeholder relationships.

Salary Range: $100,000-$140,000 per year
Annual Bonus Target: 10%
Position is eligible to participate in a bonus plan with a target of 8% of the base salary. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.   • Regional Category management of direct production material and related compliance standards.
  • Establish a portfolio of key strategic partners to support the annual operating budget and meet overall production needs.
  • Prepare and distribute RFP/RFQs for supply and align efforts with key team members in Operations, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and other key corporate functions.
  • Lead negotiations and be responsible for major contract development & contract management to ensure lowest total cost, highest quality and compliance.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers, establish KPIs and manage overall supplier delivery & quality performance, code of conduct and overall reliable supply.
  • Participate as a key member on cross-functional teams for the successful planning and implementation of projects.
  • Manage risk and supplier compliance within this category of spend. Ensure supplier conformance to quality policies, EHS and overall industry regulations.
  • Proficient with procurement processes and analytical tools.
  • Maintain market intelligence to drive best practices and be aware of pricing trends and economic indicators.
  • Develop and drive annual cost saving goals and objectives.
  • Mitigate stock outs and leverage industry opportunities to address drug shortage.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities with the suppliers and internal procurement teams.
  • Lead development of personnel through setting standards of performance, orientation, lessons learned, and training.
  • All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

* BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering (or equivalent).

* Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sourcing/procurement/operations with a preference towards pharmaceutical manufacturing related experience and an understanding of cGMP.

* Demonstrated background with SAP, Microsoft products (Excel, Word & PowerPoint), & Visio.

* Strong analytical, business process analysis and problem-solving capabilities.

* CPM/CPSM Certification a plus.

* Must have the ability to travel a minimum of 25% of the time and have the ability to obtain a valid passport.

* Possess the ability to work well in an international team environment.

* Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Results oriented and demonstrates a high level of integrity.

* Strong stakeholder/customer management focus.
