Job Title: Network Engineer

Overview: We are looking for a Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco networking technologies and Palo Alto firewalls to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining our enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security across all systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and support Cisco-based routing, switching, and wireless solutions across LAN/WAN environments.
  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls including policy updates, VPNs, and threat prevention features.
  • Ensure efficient network security using firewall rules, segmentation, ACLs, and traffic inspection tools.
  • Support and maintain IP addressing schemes, DNS, DHCP, and network protocols such as OSPF, and BGP.
  • Work with Microsoft Azure to deploy and run network resources.
  • Setup virtual networks (VNets), subnets, security groups, and VPN connections in Azure.
  • Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions that bridge on-premises and Azure environments.
  • Monitor network performance using tools such as SolarWinds and proactively resolve latency or downtime issues.
  • Assist in designing and maintaining site-to-site and remote-access VPNs, especially in Palo Alto Global Protect environments.
  • Assist in configuring and maintaining network hardware, including routers, switches and load balancers.
  • Deploy and manage wireless access points (WAPs) ensuring stable connectivity.
  • Solve wireless network issues, including authentication.
  • Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve issues and implement network upgrades.
  • Participate in security audits, vulnerability assessments, and network hardening initiatives.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning and implementation of resilient network solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and wireless technologies.
  • Solid grasp and experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PA-series), Panorama, and threat prevention tools.
  • Proficient in TCP/IP, subnetting, NAT, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and network troubleshooting.
  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
  • Palo Alto certifications (Optional).

Soft Skills:

  • Deep technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities.
  • Clear and concise communication with technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • A security-first attitude in all network design and operational tasks.
