Job Description

The Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the planning, organization, and execution of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center's (SKCCC's) Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee (PRMC). This individual serves as the primary liaison between the scientific committee, internal teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and timely deliverables.

  • Develop and deliver training and education for oncology study teams regarding PRMC policies and submission requirements.

  • Executes decisions regarding expedited approval and studies needing administrative approval. Manage the PRMC email inbox and all correspondences with Principal Investigators regarding protocol approvals, amendments, and stipulations.

  • Monitor trials for PRMC annual review deadlines and minimum accrual expectations and manages related communications with study teams to ensure compliance and timely follow-up.

  • Support the review process by assigning reviewers, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met

  • Coordinate all full committee and sub-committee meetings, including documenting reviewer comments, distributing decision emails, and monitoring the progression of trials in need of revision.

  • Receive and triage protocol submissions, manage the submission platform, and serve as primary liaison facilitating communication between study teams, investigators, and the PRMC.

  • Maintain membership records, including rosters, attendance logs, and participation metrics, using tools such as membership and attendance trackers.

  • Train all new PRMC members in review processes and how to use the submission management platform (OnCore)

  • Coordinate all activities of the scientific committee, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and meeting materials, and documenting minutes.

Education:

High school diploma, or 2) a bachelor's degree, 3) or a master's degree

AND

Experience and Skills Required:

  • HS diploma and at least 6 years of relevant clinical research experience
  • BA/BS and at least 2 years of relevant clinical research experience
  • Masters and 1 years of relevant clinical research experience
  • Familiarity with medical terminology; oncology experience preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in managing data and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate scientific content clearly to diverse audiences.
