STS Technical Services is hiring an Aircraft Records Coordinator in Jamaica, New York.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of aircraft maintenance documentation. As an Aircraft Records Coordinator, you'll help maintain, organize, and track critical records to support maintenance operations and FAA requirements. This is a detail-oriented position that combines administrative skills with aviation knowledge.


Position Summary:

The Aircraft Records Coordinator is responsible for scanning, indexing, filing, and managing aircraft maintenance records in both electronic and paper formats. You will work closely with maintenance teams, compliance auditors, and administrative departments to ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with all FAA regulations.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain complete and accurate aircraft records including tracking, filing, and cataloging of maintenance documentation
  • Scan, label, index, and electronically file essential aircraft records
  • Support internal and external records requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Assist with the compilation and auditing of aircraft documentation for compliance checks
  • Provide general administrative support to the Records team and technical operations
  • Ensure all records are organized according to FAA regulations and company policies
  • Handle confidential and sensitive documentation with discretion
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) Badge
  • Ability to pass a 10-year background check, pre-employment drug screening, and CHRC
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with aircraft terminology and Part 121 Air Carrier operations
  • Experience with airline Maintenance & Engineering systems (TRAX preferred)
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations including FARs, ADs, and Service Bulletins
  • Two (2) years of aircraft records or auditing experience
  • Understanding of ATA codes and maintenance documentation standards
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently
  • Ability to work in both an office and airport environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, or holidays as needed

Work Environment:

  • Office-based with frequent exposure to airport operations
  • Use of scanners, computers, and other office equipment
  • Some walking, lifting, and transporting of physical records required
