OverviewWe're looking for Product Designer I to join the Developer Division Design Studio and help us create the best possible user experience for developers utilizing our AI and Agentic tools. As part of the team, you'll collaborate with other designers, content strategists, researchers, product managers, and engineers to envision, improve, and expand some of the fastest growing products at Microsoft. In this role you will work on complex problems for sophisticated customers who care deeply about both productivity and ease-of-use. We're looking for a designer who's driven by empathy for customers, and the need to know how to serve them better. You'll work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver the next generation of experiences to empower developers. Our ideal candidate has experience in the full life cycle of digital design, from envisioning to concepting to prototyping to execution. Candidates should also have a basic understanding of software technologies and familiarity with programming. ResponsibilitiesAs part of the Developer Division Design Studio you'll drive product design for developer tools, AI experiences, and AI agents including the following responsibilities: Deliver design and innovation across one or more facets of the design process, including sketching, prototyping, journey mapping, information architecture, interaction design, and usability.Leverage and contribute to design patterns across Microsoft products and services.Work in an iterative manner, scoping and prioritizing work across multiple projects. Advocate for the user and champion industry-leading, inclusive, and user-centered design practices. Collaborate with peers (including content, research, product management, and engineering) to enhance the clarity and usability of product experiences.Untangle complex technical concepts and recommend strategic design solutions.Participate in weekly design team critiques to provide and recieve feedback on product work.Embody our culture and values. |
