Job Summary

We are looking for a high-levelSoftware Architect to provide technical leadership across Moultrie's platform, including backend services, cloud infrastructure, and our customer-facing mobile app. This role is responsible for defining architecture, setting engineering standards, and guiding teams as we scale our systems and product offerings.

You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Infrastructure teams to designsecure, testable,scalable,and maintainable solutions, while mentoring engineers and influencing long-term strategic technical direction. You will also be working cross-functionallyto ensure the completion of visions and timelines set by the business.

Job Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the overall system architecture for Moultrie's platform
  • Design scalable backend services and APIs using .NET / C#
  • Define architectural patterns, standards, and best practices across teams
  • Guide mobile and client architecture, including .NET MAUI-based applications
  • Lead technical design discussions and architectural tradeoff decisions
  • Collaborate with product leaders to translate business goals into technical solutions
  • Ensure systems are reliable, testable,observable, and production-ready at scale
  • Create unit testing anddocumentation while maintaining existing documentation
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to senior and junior engineers
  • Partner with DevOps and Infrastructure on cloud-native architecture and CI/CD
  • Support critical production issues and post-incident architectural improvements
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (or equivalent years' work experience)
  • 12+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proven experience leading architecture for business-critical systems and applicaitons
  • Deep expertise in:
    • C#, .NET, .NET Core
    • SQL Server, Entity Framework
    • RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • .NET MAUI and Mobile Application Architecture
    • Azure Cloud
    • Event-driven or message-based architectures
    • CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Design patterns, dependency injection, and domain-driven design
    • Cloud scalability, performance, and security considerations
Prefered Skills
  • Experience supporting high-traffic, consumer-facing platforms
  • Background in IoT, connected devices, or hardware-integrated systems
  • Passion for the outdoors or consumer electronics
