Job Summary

Join our dynamic, mission-driven team as Capture Manager to advance business development growth initiatives and cultivate strategic customer relationships at ServiceSource, an AbilityOne Program nonprofit agency. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this role will be responsible for managing the full capture lifecycle on assigned opportunities while supporting day-to-day business development and proposal operation activities. The Capture Manager is crucial for continuing ServiceSource's expansion in the competitive federal marketplace and participation in state-use programs in key states. The ideal candidate will divide their focus between federal and state-use pursuits and must be well-versed in all phases of government business development and capture, with a proven ability to craft winning strategies for both sectors.

Primary Duties

  • Manage the full capture lifecycle, from qualification and pursuit decision gates through contract award.

  • Develop, update, and report on Capture Plans and win strategies, focusing on addressing customer hot buttons, qualification points, and differentiators.

  • Build and sustain relationships with key federal and state customers to foster new opportunities, briefing them on ServiceSource capabilities and solutions.

  • Collaborate across internal teams-Operations, Pricing, Contracts-to develop and refine win strategies during opportunity gate reviews. Effectively communicate and brief customers on ServiceSource capabilities, services, and value propositions.

  • Gather, assess, and validate customer requirements, including development, coordination, and execution of customer outreach and call plans. Update and maintain assigned opportunity records on Salesforce CRM to track progress and activities throughout the capture process.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Leverage federal and state procurement tools (such as SAM.gov, GovWin, FPDS, eBuy, BidNet, and State Procurement Portals) to analyze trends, competition, and procurement forecasts.

  • Contribute to proposal development, including content creation, color team reviews, white papers, and marketing materials.

  • Participate in strategic planning, innovation meetings, and other growth initiatives.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting overall business development efforts.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in business development, capture management, or a related role required.

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and different procurement methods required.

  • Ability to attend industry conferences and customer meetings in person and/or travel up to 50% of the time throughout the U.S. is required.

  • Knowledge of AbilityOne Program, Service Contract Act (SCA), FAR, and government procurement processes preferred.

  • Experience using the Shipley Capture Workbook or similar systems to systematically gather and organize capture information is highly preferred.

  • Effective internal and external customer relations skills; ability to participate in and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries, negotiations, complaints, and team activities.

  • Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to the Senior Executive Team and external stakeholder groups.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
