Position: Venue Sales & Programming Manager

Department: Venue Operations

Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Senior Manager, Venue Programming

Status: Full-Time (Exempt)

Position Summary

The Venue Programming Manager will play a vital role in supporting the overall programming and event booking at Bank of America Stadium. This position is responsible for maintaining the venue's calendar, scheduling internal and private events, and supporting the marketing, coordination, and settlement of live events. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused, with a strong interest in live entertainment, event planning, and client services.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Maintain the venue's master calendar, ensuring all event dates, holds, and internal requests are accurately documented and up to date.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all internal and external private event bookings, including but not limited to corporate events, special events, sponsor events, community and non-profit events, birthday parties, and tours
  • Create proposals for prospective private events, to include cost estimates and floor plans
  • Schedule and execute site visits with prospective private events
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager, Venue Programming and legal department on creating and executing private event contracts
  • Work closely with the marketing team to support promotional efforts for live events, including website updates, email campaigns, and social media support.
  • Assist in the financial closeout of events by collecting client invoices and tracking expenses related to Live and Private Events.
  • Serve as the point of contact for artist, promoter, and client gifting, including creative, sourcing, and purchasing of gifts.
  • Assist with hospitality coordination and special requests for VIPs and clients.
  • Closely monitor city events and festivals as they relate to the Stadium schedule
  • Coordinate stadium exterior lighting to align with city initiatives
  • Create proposals for prospective internal and external events, to include cost estimates and floor plans
  • Oversee internal space usage, including but not limited to TSE hosted events, internal meetings, production shoots, team practices, entertainment rehearsals, press conferences, and vendor trainings
  • Work closely with the stadium Production team to coordinate use of video boards, LED's, TV's and A/V usage.
  • Participate in networking events and calls with the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA), Greater Charlotte Hospitality & Tourism Alliance, Stadium Special Event Group, the International Special Events Society (ILEA), and other organizations as needed
  • Conduct or attend weekly Event Operations meetings, Conversion meetings, BEO meetings, vendor meetings, and other meetings as assigned


  • Special projects as assigned by the Senior Manager, Venue Programming
  • Actively participate in executing private, internal and Live events as needed
  • Additional related duties as assigned



Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Sport Management, Sales, or related field
  • At least 5 years of full-time event sales and/or venue programming experience
  • Working knowledge of current special event trends
  • Demonstrated high-level customer service experience
  • Must have a valid US Driver's license
  • Must pass pre-employment screenings
  • Must be able to work flexible, non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed



Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with Momentus Elite and Social Tables is preferred, but not required
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification preferred
  • Experience in events sales at a high-profile arena or stadium if preferred

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Must maintain complete confidentiality of privileged, and/or sensitive information
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and all Stadium events, including events held on weekends, nights, and holidays when necessary
  • Ability to prioritize workload to manage time and tasks while ensuring accuracy, prompt responses and on-time delivery



Physical Requirements



  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include lifting (up to 30 lbs), standing, stooping, and walking for an extended period of time
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Sitting and working at desk on a computer
  • Walking through the stadium which may include stairs
  • Working in outdoor stadium environments which may include inclement weather



Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment and outside in a stadium facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. This position works a minimum of 40 hours per week.
