Short-Term Lecturer/Assistant Professor or Teaching Specialist, Division of Humanities
Location: Morris

Temporary, Part-Time - 9 months and less than 50% time or less than 9 months and any % time.

The Division of Education may need Lecturers/Assistant Professors or Teaching Specialists to teach on a short-term and/or temporary basis during the academic year 2025-2026; dates 8/11/2025 - 5/10/2026

The primary responsibility will be teaching undergraduate courses. Some service and research activity may be expected.

This position will remain open until filled.

Qualifications

Required/Preferred:

Ph.D. or terminal degree for Lecturer/Assistant Professor; MA/MS or BA/BS for Teaching Specialists, masters preferred.

Candidates must have academic preparation appropriate to the specialized teaching field.

Though clear emphasis is on successful teaching, consideration will be given to scholarly attainment or other professional recognition or distinction in the teaching field.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $41,600-$60,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment Category: 9 months and less than 50% time or less than 9 months and any % time
