We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for candidates ranging from recent graduates to experienced professionals. The successful candidate will be involved in the design and development of mechanical systems for a variety of building types, including commercial, educational, healthcare, municipal, and institutional facilities.
Primary Functions
Depending on experience level, responsibilities may include:


  • Design & Engineering

    • Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system designs using Revit and AutoCAD.
    • Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and duct/piping layout.
    • Prepare construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
    • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC, etc.).


  • Project Management & Leadership (for mid to senior-level candidates)

    • Lead mechanical design efforts on multi-disciplinary projects.
    • Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and civil engineers.
    • Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communications.
    • Mentor junior engineers and review their work for quality and accuracy.


  • Collaboration & Communication

    • Participate in client meetings and site visits.
    • Work closely with internal teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
    • Support business development efforts through proposal writing and presentations (senior level).




Desired Skills
Required:


  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.


  • EIT certification or PE license (or ability to obtain).
  • 0-20 years of relevant mechanical design experience in the AEC industry.
  • Experience with energy modeling software (e.g., Trane TRACE, HAP).
  • Familiarity with LEED, WELL, or other sustainable design frameworks.



Desired Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

Minimum Physical Requirements

Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, walk or stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and climbing. Good vision, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness are essential.
