We are looking for experienced Surveyor II professionals to join our teams in Toledo, Ohio. This position involves both field and office responsibilities and supports a wide range of surveying projects.
Primary Functions
- Conducts boundary, topographic, construction, and control surveys with minimal supervision.
- Operates and manages advanced surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
- Interprets legal descriptions, plats, and engineering drawings to determine property boundaries and project layouts.
- Leads field crews, assigns tasks, and ensures accurate and efficient data collection.
- Prepares and reviews survey maps, plats, and reports using CAD and GIS software.
- Coordinates with engineers, project managers, and contractors to support design and construction activities.
- Identifies and resolves discrepancies in survey data and field conditions.
- Ensures compliance with safety standards, regulations, and project specifications.
Desired Skills
- 2-5 years of professional surveying experience.
- Advanced knowledge of surveying methods, including boundary, topographic, construction, and control surveys.
- Proficiency with advanced survey instruments (e.g., robotic total stations, RTK GPS, data collectors).
- Knowledge of ODOT survey standards and Open Roads Designer software.
- Strong understanding of legal descriptions, plats, and land records.
- Experience with CAD and GIS software for processing and analyzing survey data.
- Ability to lead field crews and manage survey projects with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for resolving discrepancies in field data or plans.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in field operations.
Desired Education
Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related field preferred.

Minimum Physical Requirements
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, walk or stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and climbing. Good vision, hand-eye coordination, and spatial awareness are essential.
