Your Job

As a Wastewater Maintenance Technician at Molex, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of water treatment processes within our industrial facility. You will play a vital role in maintaining optimal conditions for water treatment operations, managing chemical dosing, and performing routine tests and maintenance tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling hazardous materials and waste in compliance with environmental regulations.

Shift: 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday (4:00pm-2:30am)

What You Will Do

  • Monitor and adjust water treatment operations, including flow, pH levels, and chemical dosing, to maintain optimal conditions.
  • Conduct routine tests, calibrate process monitoring devices, and manage the addition of treatment chemicals.
  • Operate and oversee equipment related to water treatment, such as filters and sludge processors.
  • Analyze operating data and adjust chemical feed rates based on lab results and guidelines.
  • Address and mitigate accidental hazardous material spills, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Observe and report any irregularities or malfunctions in equipment.
  • Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct chemical analyses of industrial wastewater and electroplating baths.
  • Manage preventive maintenance tasks for water treatment operations.
  • Safely handle hazardous materials and waste, following environmental and transportation regulations.
  • Maintain accurate inventories and ensure safe storage and handling procedures are followed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Working knowledge of diverse measurements and documentation of test results.
  • Understanding of fundamental chemistry principles and lab practices related to water and wastewater treatment.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Completion of wastewater processing/plating water treatment courses or relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with chemical analysis methods.
