Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a Lessons Learned Specialist to support USTRANSCOM's Joint Training and Readiness Division. Thes Lessons Learned Specialist serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) and facilitator for the JLLP lessons working group, Senior Group, and the JLLP issue resolution process and serves as the USTRANSCOM administrator and functional manager for Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS).

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Assists with the overall execution and support of all Joint Lessons Learned Program (JLLP) functions (including the five phases of discovery, validation, integration, evaluation, and dissemination) within USTRANSCOM.
  • Coordinates placement of collection teams during operations, contingencies, experiments, war games, and exercises when small-scale active collection is required.
  • Collects and submits USTRANSCOM generated observations, issues, and lessons learned (O/I/Ls) directly to the JS, other CCMDs, services, and combat support agencies.
  • Ensures validated O/I/Ls are developed from the Joint Training Tool (JTT) Task Performance Observations (TPO), and Training Performance Evaluations (TPE) from the official end of the exercise (ENDEX).
  • Support Joint Exercise Planning and Control Groups for command post exercises to include observations, collection management plans, and assessment plan development.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active Secret, Ability to obtain a TS/SCI



  • 3+ years Of Joint experience or 2+ years of Joint Training and Exercise experience at the MAJCOM or Combatant Command level.
  • Experience and proficiency with developing, staffing and providing written products, correspondence and presentations to senior level military leadership or civilian leadership
  • Skilled in planning and executing joint training and exercises and the Joint Training System (JTS), joint training procedures and manuals.
  • Proficiency with development, design and assessment of exercise training objectives. Experience or formal training in joint doctrine and joint training procedures and manuals.
  • Experience and proficiency in one or more of the following: Joint Training Tool (JTT), Defense Readiness Reporting System, Joint Lessons Learned Information System, Operational Assessments, JMETs, Exercise Scenario design, Models and Simulation.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees. This job will primarily be in an Office Setting.
