Department Summary

Research Administration is a sub-division within the UNTHSC Division of Research and Innovation, which provides administrative oversight and support to the Office of Sponsored Programs.

Position Overview

This position will:
* Assist in the preparation and completion of research protocols.
* Assist with data entry, data quality control analysis, and testing of software protocols.
* Schedule and coordinate detailed phases of one or more parts of a research project.
* Assist in the preparation of project reports.
* Assist in participant recruitment and retention activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Employees in this job may be responsible for conducting research on, working on, or having the ability to access critical organizational infrastructure and they must be able to maintain the security and integrity of the infrastructure related to this role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
* Advanced skills with common office productivity software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe Photoshop
* Excellent time-management skills and ability to function independently, uses discretion, works under pressure, and prioritizes tasks in order to meet deadlines

Job Duties:



  • Assist in day-to-day research project management, in coordination with the Principal Investigator.
  • Participate in community recruitment of research participants and screening into study.
  • QC of files and data collected.
  • Maintain accurate records, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects as necessary, as appropriate, code and verify data in accordance with the specified protocol for subsequent analysis.
  • Manage data and data entry as needed.
  • Assist in data analysis, collection of qualitative and quantitative research data, or other relevant information.
  • Assist in the preparation of online and text message intervention development and programming.
  • Perform tasks related to human subjects-related activities, maintaining research and program files, and assisting team members on human subjects and other project tasks.
  • Assist the team in the preparation of the dissemination of reports and manuscripts.
  • Complies with all governmental and University policies, rules, regulations, and codes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
