Facilities Maintenance Technician

Pay / Schedule: $25-$26/hr (DOE). Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm + OT Opportunity. At 50 hours per week, at $26/hr, earn weekly paychecks of $1,430 gross.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing various facility-related systems and infrastructure under the supervision of the Facilities Manager and in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager. This role involves performing a wide range of tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, fire system testing, and general building upkeep, with duties varying daily based on work orders. When facility tasks are not pending, the technician supports other maintenance activities, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Requirements

• Ability to perform general electrical tasks, including installing and maintaining conduit, running wires, and troubleshooting facility lighting systems.
• Skilled in diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues specific to facility infrastructure, ensuring proper functionality of water and drainage systems.
• Knowledge of fire alarm and suppression system testing, including coordination of annual fire system inspections and compliance with fire chief requirements.
• Experience in maintaining and repairing building components such as columns, siding, flooring, roofing, and concrete, including exterior painting.
• Familiarity with maintaining office furniture, elevators, and EPACS systems, ensuring operational reliability and adherence to safety standards.
