General Description: A Weaponeering Subject Matter Expert (SME)that initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs. The incumbent shall provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff. The SME provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization of development and/or maintenance efforts for end-user specific or mission critical challenges/issues. The incumbent shall consult with end-users to define needs or problems and shall supervise studies and surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions. A SME should have 8-10 years prior military or government/military contractor experience in the field of weaponeering. Specific Capabilities: Provide expert-level guidance, training, and support at the deliberate and dynamic levels of weaponeering/targeting. Possess expert knowledge of the Joint Munitions Effectiveness Manual (JMEM) Weaponeering Guide. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of JMEM Weaponeering System (JWS) methodologies, software applications, and proper use of JWS/JMEM tools. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Integrated Munitions Effects Assessment (IMEA) methodologies, software applications, and proper use of JWS/JMEM tools. Possess an in-depth knowledge of targeting in support of mission planning and proper weaponeering techniques for all target types supported in DIEE. Demonstrate advanced analytic expertise of JWS/IMEA results. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Capability Solution Package/Target Engagement Package. Demonstrate proper use of Probability of Kill Look-up Tool (PkLUT), Target Damage Card (TDC) and Quick Weaponeering (QW) functions in DIEE. Qualifications and Certifications: Air Delivered Conventional Weapons Employment Planning Course (ADCWEP) graduate is not required, but desired Active SECRET clearance with TS SCI eligibility required.
