Job Description

Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a General/Interdisciplinary Engineer located in Kettering, OH (Dayton, WPAFB) to support our EPASS GB contract. As part of the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate, the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Initiative (MROi) is a DOTMLPF-P transformation and standardization of both the business processes and enabling materiel solution which provides Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) with an integrated capability for planning, scheduling and executing organic depot maintenance to support agile planning, optimized workload assignment, resource allocation and integrated quality.

This position requires a highly motivated individual with General/Interdisciplinary engineering experience to include, but not limited to:




  • Provide cross-cutting engineering technical and functional support across the MROi Integrated Program Office to inform the Chief Engineer and other Program Leaders regarding a wide range of engineering issues/efforts.



  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, along with Program Managers, Functional customers and industry counterparts.



  • Engineering planning and support includes synergistic refinement and continued implementation of key Defense Business System systems engineering process across the IPO product lines and functional teams.



  • Engagement and collaboration with customers and service providers for ongoing and future capability development/sustainment and facilitating IT solution space analyses to optimize MROi



  • Constructing briefings, reports, studies, analyses, recommendations, and other documentation.



  • Developing and maintaining relationships with a variety of MROi stakeholders including Cloud One, Oracle, Cloud Service Providers, Accenture, other Air Force ERP Programs and other key vendors.



  • Conducting reviews on program documentation to evaluate and recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering processes, manage program technical baselines, and execute system level tests to assure subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved requirements.



  • Supporting collaboration, knowledge, and resource sharing within/across the IPO.



  • Establishing processes and procedures to improve program technical baseline management.



Job Requirements

  • Master's Degree in relevant field and 7 years of related experience OR

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field and 11 years of related experience.



  • Candidate must be a US Citizen



  • Candidate must possess and be able to maintain at T3/SECRET Security Clearance





Possesses any or all of the following certifications:




  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, (or associate)



  • AWS Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Azure equivalent



  • Current certification in Oracle/OCI products and/or databases



  • CompTIA Security+ CE - Required





Preferred Certification:




  • Agile/Scrum Certification
