We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead our dynamic and innovative engineering team. This role is pivotal in driving the development and delivery of cutting-edge software solutions that align with our strategic business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing large-scale software engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of talented software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, and Operations, to define and execute the product roadmap.
  • Ensure the adoption of best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, code reviews, and automated testing.
  • Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and budgets to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, and incorporate them into the engineering strategy as appropriate.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach to software development, ensuring that user experience and satisfaction are top priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and practices to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Represent the engineering team in executive meetings, providing updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex software development projects.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in modern software development technologies and methodologies.
  • Expert in Java
  • Expert in AWS infrastructure and architectural best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • A related technical degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning technologies.
