Position Title: Quality Technician

Wage: $32.00 - $35.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

QPS is hiring a CWI Quality Inspector in Kansas City, KS!

If you have your Certification for Weld Inspection or Level 2 VT, we are looking for you! This company not only offers a really strong starting pay rate of $32-35/hr, but pays benefits and offers Employee Ownership!

Quality Technician Responsibilities:

- Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process components and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications

- Use measurement tools and testing equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances and overall product quality

- Document inspection results, including any defects or non-conformances, and report findings to the Quality Assurance Manager

- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues, providing feedback and recommendations for corrective actions

- Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits as required

- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards and best practices

- Monitor and analyze quality control trends to identify areas of improvement

- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are calibrated and in good working order

Requirements for Quality Technician:

- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in quality control or a related field is a plus

- 2+ years of experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment

- Strong understanding of quality control processes, measurement tools and inspection techniques

- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify defects and deviations from specifications

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Manual dexterity with good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills

- Able to work independently and as part of a team

- Able to stand, walk, climb, balance, bend and crouch throughout shift

- Able to lift up to 50lbs

- Able to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust and varying temperatures
