Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Student Recruitment Specialist to lead and support recruitment and admissions efforts for undergraduate programs within the Bloch School. This position plays a key role in achieving enrollment goals by developing and executing strategic recruitment initiatives that attract a diverse and talented student population..

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and execution of recruitment strategies for Bloch's undergraduate programs.
  • Serve as a key contact and advise prospective students and their families, school counselors/teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Guide students through the admissions process, including program requirements and scholarship opportunities.
  • Coordinate and participate in on-campus and virtual recruitment events, including representing the Bloch School at high schools, college fairs, and community events.
  • Collaborate with UMKC Admissions and UMKC Marketing & Communications team to develop recruitment materials and campaigns.
  • Assist with managing Bloch's prospective student funnel (inquiries, applicants, admits) and maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and student engagement.
  • Support enrollment goals through data-informed planning and relationship building.
  • Provide transfer advice for BBA and BSA programs, including coursework articulation.
  • Assist with supervision and support of Bloch School student staff.
  • Assist with budget allocation and resource planning for Bloch Undergraduate Admissions & Recruitment.
Shift

This position does allow for one day per week remote work after initial 90 day in office training period.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one year of experience in student recruitment, admissions, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, education, communications, or a related field.
  • One year of experience in higher education admissions or student services.
  • Passion for promoting access to higher education.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with CRM systems, data analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for regional travel.

This position requires regular travel and participation in evening and weekend events. A personal vehicle and valid driver's license are required.

Anticipated Hiring Range

$24.00 to $25.50/hr commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.
