Summary
As a Senior Sales Analyst at DSV, you will serve as a strategic partner to sales leadership by delivering high-impact insights, leading advanced data analytics, and driving optimization across the sales lifecycle. This role goes beyond data reporting-it requires a proactive, analytical thinker who can identify revenue opportunities, influence strategic planning, and support sales performance at a national or regional scale.

You will leverage your expertise in sales metrics, forecasting models, and data visualization to guide decision-making across business units, while mentoring junior analysts and contributing to continuous process improvement in a dynamic logistics environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Analyze complex sales data sets to uncover actionable insights, revenue opportunities, and strategic risks.
* Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
* Support the sales team in generating quotes and proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and current market trends.
* Prepare weekly wins reports, monthly newsletters, monthly sales inquiry summaries, and maintain up-to-date sales KPIs to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
* Strategize with the Regional Sales Director (RSD) to identify lead generation opportunities and support sales representatives with targeted prospecting efforts.
* Participate in weekly branch sales meetings to remain aligned with active opportunities and field feedback from the sales team.
* Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to present findings in a clear, compelling, and actionable format.
* Monitor and track key sales performance metrics, including revenue, volume, market share, and customer acquisition/retention.
* Develop and maintain advanced dashboards and reports to support business reviews and performance tracking across regions, verticals, and accounts.
* Lead sales forecasting activities by analyzing historical trends, market dynamics, and business seasonality; collaborate with sales leaders on pipeline reviews and quota setting.
* Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to inform commercial strategy and identify emerging opportunities or risks.
* Provide strategic recommendations based on customer behavior, market intelligence, and performance gaps.
* Segment customers based on demographic, geographic, and behavioral characteristics to improve sales targeting and resource allocation.
* Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and support targeted campaigns aimed at specific customer segments.
* Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the sales process and recommend system or process improvements to enhance productivity and consistency.
* Drive automation of recurring sales reporting and maintain data integrity across CRM platforms and analytics systems.
* Assist in the development of sales strategies, pricing models, and sales incentive programs; evaluate the ROI of incentive plans.
* Support the sales team with the preparation of high-quality sales presentations, proposals, and materials tailored to client needs.
* Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Marketing to ensure alignment of sales efforts with broader business goals.
* Present findings and strategic insights to executive leadership in a concise and persuasive manner.
* Mentor junior analysts and team members, promoting best practices in data analysis, storytelling, and strategic reporting.
* Assist in the deployment and adoption of tools, systems, and dashboards that enhance visibility and decision-making across the sales organization.

Skills & Competencies
* Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; capable of drawing insights from large, complex data sets and making sound business recommendations.
* Excellent business acumen, with the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
* Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and pipeline/funnel analysis.
* Ability to think strategically while also executing tactically.
* Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments and regions.
* High attention to data accuracy, reporting integrity, and deadline-driven deliverables.

Educational background / Work experience / Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in sales analysis, business analytics, or strategic planning-preferably within the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry.
* Strong understanding of freight forwarding and logistics industry dynamics, sales cycles, and customer buying behavior.
* Experience supporting global or multi-region sales organizations.
* Prior exposure to pricing models, gross profit analysis, and customer profitability studies.
* Familiarity with predictive modeling and sales enablement tools (e.g., Clari, Outreach, SalesLoft).
* Knowledge of contract logistics, air/ocean freight, and customs brokerage services.

Language Skills
* Business fluent in English
* Preferably good command of local language
* Additional language proficiency is a plus

Computer Literacy
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Advanced knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
* Experience working with CRM and ERP systems.

Physical and/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is often required to walk and use hand and eye coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Hours and Environment
Normal working hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, however, working beyond these hours will often be required by business needs.

For this position, the expected base pay is:$68,000 -$92,000/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
