Here's a little about San Mateo County Community College District and the position they are recruiting for: The San Mateo County Community College District, established in 1922, includes Canada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College. Situated between San Francisco and Silicon Valley, the District serves nearly 30,000 students annually, offering the first two years of college instruction across a broad range of transfer and career-technical programs. Students can earn Associate of Arts or Science degrees, as well as Certificates of Proficiency. The colleges provide extensive online course offerings and support high school pathways through Middle College, dual enrollment, and concurrent enrollment programs. Job Description: Under general supervision, the Human Resources Representative supports a wide range of HR functions, helping to implement district and departmental policies with a focus on fostering an inclusive and healthy workplace. The role involves frequent public contact requiring discretion and professionalism when addressing inquiries related to recruitment, employment, benefits, leaves, retirement, and labor agreements. It demands sound judgment and creative problem-solving to apply policies effectively and handle both routine and complex issues. Errors can impact public relations, time, and costs. The position may also oversee student assistants or temporary staff as needed. What you will be doing: Managing, coordinating, planning, and performing a variety of complex and technical functions related to employee services, including recruitment, employment, compensation, benefits, leaves, and records maintenance in compliance with laws, regulations, District policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
