Summary:

Provides daily guidance for pipeline set up and direction to Operations to optimize T&S pipeline operations across multiple pipeline systems.

This position requires advanced knowledge within a functional area and is often considered an expert in the area of responsibility. Performs work without direction and completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results. Develops technical solutions to highly complex or interrelated problems. Requires the ability to interpret and adapt theory and concepts into workable solutions. Leads and mentors less experienced professionals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Leads collaboration with other departments to provide scheduling, imbalance, OBA, storage, balancing services and system management directives.
  • Provides varied and complex management and/or operational analysis, reports and recommendations in support of business/departmental programs.
  • Performs various evaluations, controls, and calculations to produce, support, and maintain data system integrity.
  • Integrates and compiles data into quantifiable summaries, models, and forecasts for development, review, and approval of issue action plans.
  • Develops recommendations to improve operational processes based on analysis.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  • Bachelor's degree or additional equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of pipeline business and role of department in daily pipeline activities, operations and projects.
  • Ability to schedule one or more pipeline system(s) without appreciable direction.
  • Advanced knowledge of Pipeline Tariffs, customers, contracts and policies
  • Recognize and anticipate need to develop and write OA's and SPW's. Direct others in posting process.
  • Recognized expert in one or more areas of specialization and/or multiple pipeline systems
  • Strong analytical skills and experience; ability to recognize, analyze and solve complex problems
  • Exceptional knowledge and expertise with analytical tools.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines and competing priorities
  • Ability to develop network of contacts and partners, as needed.
  • Strong collaboration skills in order to partner effectively across various levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company's ethics code of conduct and other company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to rotate on-call weekends, including holidays.


Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:



  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.


  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Ability to rotate on-call weekends including holidays.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
