About the Role
We are looking fora Quality & Compliance Professionalto jointhe Vertical Business Unit (SITKA and GOREWEAR)inGore Fabrics division.In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance to Brand Performance and RSL testing protocols, executing quality practices to deliver best in class product and overseeing GB regulatory testing. This role will be located at our facility in Shenzhen, China.
Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee GB regulatory testing for all applicable styles
- Monitor vendor & supplier performance by gathering and maintaining relevant bulk testing data, resolve testing failures and assist with production issues
- Analyze, review and discuss quality issues by negotiating solutions between suppliers and assist with driving quality decisions across the organization; drive and implement corrective and preventative actions in line with findings of quality audits and customer complaints
- Assist with managing product compliance certifications (OEKO-TEX, bluesign, Prop65, REACH, etc)
- Coordinate with 3rd party testing labs to finalize testing protocols, review testing programs and assist with Finished Goods Testing as needed
- Work cross-functionally with Sourcing, Product Development, Merchandising and Materials to ensure on time delivery of high-quality products
- Assist with 3rdparty audits as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Product Quality Professional within Apparel, Accessories and/or Footwear product categories with an understanding of product and raw material/trim testing. Construction knowledge is a plus
- Familiar with GB Regulatory requirements for Apparel, Accessories and/or Footwear Products
- Knowledge of PLM systems and data management
- Strong computer skills with intermediate level in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and necessary systems needed
- Demonstrated ability to build and foster business relationships with cross functional teams, internal and external partners
- Ability to travel up to 5%
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of regulatory and voluntary RSL product requirements (OEKO-TEX, BLUESIGN, 3rd party testing OEKO-TEX, PROP65)
- Knowledge of US federal and state Youth safety regulations, including CPSC and CPSIA
- Experience working with various levels of suppliers from the local and international market
