HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $25.00-$27.49 Join the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova Team as a F&B Outlets Manager We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to lead our F&B Outlets & Starbucks Team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, fostering employee satisfaction, and thriving in a collaborative team environment. A solid understanding of coffee, beverages, and quick-service operations is essential. The successful candidate must have experience working within budget guidelines and be flexible with their schedule, including availability on nights and weekends. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience managing a high-volume Restaurant and/or Starbucks or similar cafe environment is required, and hotel experience is a plus. Key Responsibilities: As the F&B Outlets Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our on-site Full Service Starbucks and assist in managing other F&B outlets, including Restaurant, Banquets and Concierge. Your responsibilities will include:
- Hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching team members.
- Enforcing hotel policies, including those related to employee appearance, attendance, punctuality, service standards, and job duty completion.
- Leading regular department meetings and implementing promotions and incentive programs across Starbucks, restaurant, bar, and room service.
- Ensuring that standard operating procedures are followed to deliver exceptional guest service.
- Reporting directly to the Director of Operations.
Starbucks Manager Duties:
- Ensure adherence to all Starbucks and hotel policies, including product ordering and inventory control.
- Maintain proper inventory levels for coffee, pastries, and other retail products.
- Oversee Starbucks team to ensure proper beverage preparation, customer service, and POS procedures.
- Coordinate service for large group orders or mobile orders, especially during peak periods.
- Manage product displays and seasonal merchandising in line with Starbucks brand standards.
- Conduct monthly inventory checks and manage waste logs.
- Plan and implement promotional events and seasonal beverage rollouts.
- Perform regular inspections of the store and address any operational improvements.
- Complete administrative duties as required.
Staff Management:
- Hold pre-shift meetings with staff to ensure readiness and product knowledge.
- Ensure adequate staffing, especially during peak business hours and high occupancy periods.
- Maintain consistent communication with department managers and MOD to share relevant information.
- Manage administrative tasks such as interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, and staff terminations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all Starbucks areas, delegating daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
- Monitor and ensure the efficiency and quality of service provided by the team.
- Manage uniforms, supplies, and equipment inventory.
- Foster a positive team environment and encourage teamwork among staff.
- Plan, assign, and direct team members' work.
- Prepare payroll as required.
- Promote open communication between all hotel departments.
Training:
- Ensure all associates are trained in safety procedures and practices.
- Educate staff on hotel fire regulations, accident reporting, and safety protocols.
- Implement training programs to optimize team efficiency and align with Marriott and Starbucks standards.
- Facilitate new hire and ongoing training, adapting content as needed to meet the evolving needs of the team.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required; some college preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of experience as a Starbucks manager or assistant manager.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of Starbucks product offerings and seasonal promotions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid CA Food Handler Card.
- Valid RBS Certification (if applicable to store setup).
- Relevant military experience is a plus.
