DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will serve as the primary receptionist and provide clerical support to the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs. A considerable amount of independence is required in determining priorities and carrying out responsibilities, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively. The Clerical Assistant 2 will serve as the initial point of contact for the Department's General Information and Licensing telephone lines and refer inquiries to the appropriate staff as necessary. The successful candidate will receive training to develop an overall understanding of the department, its structure and its programs. Daily tasks are generally completed independently within established department guidelines and direct supervision is provided by the Administrative Officer 2. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday with a 1 hour lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, one day per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,108 (before taxes). -

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
