R & D Technician / Production Support

Clarke Fire Protection Products, a division of Clarke Power, is recognized worldwide as a leading manufacturer of diesel fire pump engines. We are looking for an
R & D Technician / Production Support to join our Clarke Fire Team! This is a great opportunity to join an industry leader!
What are the Duties?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND SKILLS include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Engine testing, diagnostics, rework, repair, and troubleshooting
- Maintains Dyno equipment for daily production use
- Supports and assists all production team members
- Ability to read, interpret, & fabricate parts from engineering drawings
- Complex problem solving
- Ability to conceptualize and fabricate product mock-ups
- Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read wiring diagrams
- Hydraulic knowledge a plus
- Ability to weld
- Ability to train others and develop build or process procedures
- Willingness to travel and service products if needed
- Must be able to work independently
Education/Experience
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical/vocational school in diesel engine technology or Equivalent Experience
- Training and background with diesel engines: repairing, overhauling, and replacing major assemblies
- 3+ years related experience or combination of education and experience
- Experience with diesel pump systems and/or generator set systems is a PLUS
- ASE Certifications a PLUS
PHYSICA
L and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- The associate must be able to implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
