Description: NSI requires a Service Life Modification (SLM) Sr. Logistics Manager provides program management, engineering, logistics, and technical support services to NAVAIR, PMA-265 Air Vehicle IPT leaders, including the Assistant Program Manager Logistics (APML) and the lead (DAPML) for Air Vehicle systems and sub-systems. The candidate will perform various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems supportability and/or maintainability programs and information systems. The candidate will work on logistics and maintainability programs and with logistics and maintenance control organizations on issues such as: technical evaluation and identification of weapons systems logistics requirements and resources; development of logistics support and maintainability programs or plans; systems acquisition requirements analysis; budgetary or financial analysis and control; LCC analysis and control; weapons systems HW and SW standardization and compatibility; IPS/ R&M program T&E planning and execution; and, IPS/R&M program management analysis. Collects, compiles, analyzes, investigates, researches, or applies logistics, maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information. Develops, modifies, prepares, or validates documentation in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems.

Job Functions:

* Directly responsible for the planning, development, funding, integration, and execution of all ILS elements and programs supporting the F/A-18 E/F and EA-18G Service Life Modification Program. The program extends the life service life from 6K to 10K.

* Specific systems/sub-systems supported include Airframe Structures, Flight Controls, Hydraulic systems and Electrical systems.

* Review SLM Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Technical Directives (TD) for logistics supportability, performance improvements, feasibility, and impacts on schedules. He or she will also perform 7R Component replacement tracking analysis to understand component usage, forecasting and component cost during aircraft SLM implementation.

* Coordinate development and delivery of TD (ILS) elements with supporting Logistic Element Managers (LEM), ensures all product support requirements necessary for support, management, and implementation of modifications are identified and are consistent with known program constraints.

* Identify, schedules, and plans APN-5/5I budget requirements for engineering support, modification kits, install man hours and labor costs of TDs. Develops compliance schedules for TDs and coordinating weapon systems availability with affected Type Commanders (TYCOM).

* Establish a robust total cost of ownership effort and investigate methods of cost savings, implement readiness-based life cycle maintenance planning, and logistics support and promote proactive Component Improvement Program (CIP) redesigns through Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)

concepts.

Desired Skillsets: Structures and Flight Control experience is a must for this program.

Location: Lexington Park, MD

Education: MS or MA Degree in Acquisition, Logistics Management, Business, Engineering, or Management

Experience: At least ten (10) years' FTE experience in acquisition or operational logistics support and maintenance engineering. Four (4) years directing acquisition or logistics managers in the performance of comprehensive analysis across the spectrum of IPS elements during a job assignment in or in support of an acquisition command. Four (4) years of DOD logistics support experience to include specific experience in acquisition planning and management including logistics planning, scheduling, execution and support system effectiveness analysis, studies and evaluations in support of DOD weapons systems and equipment. Two (2) years of specific experience in operational logistics planning and management.

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
