Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to support product quality, process efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate is committed to continuous improvement, adept at conducting root cause analysis, and experienced in implementing effective corrective and preventive actions. This role is integral to maintaining and enhancing our Quality Management Systems, with a focus on ISO9001 and AS9100 certification activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain ISO9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems, including planning, auditing, implementing, and sustaining quality processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
  • Review customer contracts, specifications, and documentation to ensure alignment with customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve quality and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product engineering, test engineering, design, and manufacturing, to support quality objectives.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, and support certification and compliance activities.
  • Ensure documentation and processes are up-to-date and compliant with relevant standards.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience working in cross-functional team environments.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Must be a U.S. Person

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AS9100 Lead Auditor Certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining quality metrics and KPIs.

Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in California, is $68,640 - $128,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
