POSITION SUMMARY

The Corporate Strategy Associate works independently supporting Lighthouse Credit Union's enterprise-wide strategic initiatives while partnering with business leaders and senior strategists to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop business cases and strategic recommendations. This role is responsible for generating insights through research and analysis to inform decision-making and ensure alignment with Lighthouse's mission and long-term objectives. The Corporate Strategy Associate also assists with the annual strategic planning process, contributing analysis, materials, and coordination to support effective planning and prioritization across the credit union. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is motivated by tackling complex, ambiguous problems with creativity and rigor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Conducts market, competitive, and financial analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and risks relevant to Lighthouse's strategic priorities.

* Supports the development of business cases for new products, services, partnerships, or market entries, including financial modeling and ROI analyses.

* Creates high-quality presentations and executive deliverables that synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights.

* Collaborates cross-functionally with teams including Finance, Product, Marketing, Operations, and IT to gather data, validate assumptions, and drive project progress.

* Contributes to the development and tracking of strategic plans, Objectives & Key Results (OKRs), and performance metrics across multiple lines of business.

* Participates in the execution of strategic initiatives, supporting project management tasks, stakeholder coordination, and implementation efforts.

* Monitors industry and regulatory trends, preparing concise reports and updates for senior leadership.

* Supports ad hoc strategic analyses and projects as directed by the Director, Corporate Strategy.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to approach complex and ambiguous challenges methodically and creatively.

* Highly detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy.

* Skilled at managing multiple priorities simultaneously and effectively navigating shifting deadlines and requirements.

* Comfortable working in situations with limited structure or precedent, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness in identifying solutions.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across organizational levels and functions.

* Self-motivated, curious, and eager to contribute to high-impact strategic projects in a dynamic environment.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

* Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience, ideally in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or a similar analytical role.

* Experience in financial services or credit union/banking environment preferred but not required.

* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) is a plus.

WORK ARRANGEMENT: The working arrangement for this position is hybrid or remote. Hybrid work is an opportunity to find the right balance between working in the office and remotely, especially if it supports individual success and the needs of our organization. Hybrid schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business unit needs and may vary by department. Although a remote work arrangement may be authorized, those working in a remote position should expect occasional travel to headquarters or other business locations as necessary for work purposes.
