Overview

Under the supervision of the Sr. Director of EPMO, the Portfolio Manager will be responsible for maintaining CMH's Executive Vice Presidents' portfolios and informing the CMH Enterprise portfolio composition. This position will support the lifecycle of a large portfolio for 1-2 EVPs in the organization and help to align, select, and prioritize each EVP's portfolio; ensuring alignment with CMH strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

Support the lifecycle of a large portfolio of assigned executive/s:

    In collaboration with the assigned EVPs, and their teams, consolidate, prioritize, and sequence portfolio priorities
  • Establish regular EVP business line portfolio reviews to ensure teams remain aligned and focused on hpriorities
  • Use metrics and data visualization effectively to report portfolio performance and support decision-making at the organizational level, including projected and actual portfolio budgets
  • Feed individual EVP portfolio data to EPMO team members and other stakeholders to inform the Enterprise portfolio
  • Ensure standard portfolio management processes are followed through consistent and regular communication with EVPs and their direct reports
  • Identify priorities across multiple portfolios to ensure alignment and sequencing
  • Contribute to the establishment of common practices, tools, and templates for portfolio management
  • Analyze key performance indicators to produce reports on portfolios
  • Escalate issues that threaten portfolio success
  • Assist in assigning operational leads to non-enterprise level priorities requiring local leader support in development and execution
  • Partner with the EPMO project management team

Portfolio Management Process Improvement:

  • Engage in regular process improvement session with the team to optimize portfolio management function
  • Solicit regular feedback from EVPs on how the structure is serving its intended purpose
  • Escalate any concerns from EVPs to EPMO leadership
  • Keep up to-date on latest trends and methodologies for best portfolio management practices


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree MBA or MHA or Portfolio Mgmt preferred and 5-7 years' experience. Portfolio management, consulting, business development, strategic planning or
  • Bachelor's Degree BS/BA: finance, Communications, Business administration preferred and 7 or more years' experience. Portfolio management consulting, business development, strategic planning business administration.
  • Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt or above Preferred
  • Portfolio Management Professional Certification Preferred

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $39.59/hr, but your salaried offer will be determined based upon your education and experience.



Remote Work/Work from Home

This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children's Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
