JOB SUMMARY

The role of a Sr. Accounts Receivable (A/R) Analyst at Doble Engineering will own all aspects of third-party billing portals and will drive operational excellence across the A/R function. This role is critical to ensure timely invoicing, reduce aging, and support revenue continuity through close collaboration with Sales, Customer Care Services, and external partners. This role will manage all aspects of portal-based invoicing (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, SAP), including account setup, invoice submission, rejection resolution, and collections coordination. This role is located at Doble's Marlborough, MA facility and will report to the Billing and Collections Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • A key expectation of performance will be to upload all invoices within three business days of issuance and resolve rejected submissions within 2 business days of notification.
  • Setting up all new customer portal accounts with accurate configuration and timely
  • Maintaining a centralized and secure log of portal credentials and access
  • Managing the portals@doble.com inbox to triage inquiries and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Tracking and reporting key metrics such as upload cycle time, rejection rates, and aging
  • Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each customer portal, including a reference database of customer-specific profiles, submission protocols, and
  • This role will be cross-trained in billing, revenue accounting, and cash application to provide flexible support during peak periods, month-end close, and team absences.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Assist with projects and perform related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing Operations, or Financial Systems
  • Proven experience integrating customer billing portals (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, SAP).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage internal sales teams, external partners, and customers
  • Proficiency with robust ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables).
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Business Central is a preferred plus but not
  • Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, accountability, and integrity.
  • Detail oriented, well organized, and flexible.


EDUCATION:



  • Four-year college or university degree with major course work in Finance, Accounting, or Business-related field; OR a combination of experience, education, and training equivalent to a four-year degree.



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):



  • Experience with shared inbox or ticketing platforms (e.g., Outlook Shared Mailbox, Zendesk).
  • Background in implementing or managing online payment platforms (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, World Pay, Net).
  • Working knowledge of AR analytics and KPI tracking
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement and workflow


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
