Summary:

The Project Manager I (Team Lead - ASD) will lead the Tier II support team for the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Account Services Desk (ASD). This 24x7x365 operation supports over 100,000 active users from the Trade, Partner Government Agencies (PGAs), and CBP. The Team Lead will oversee daily operations, ensure service excellence, and support trade facilitation, compliance, and enforcement through the ACE Secure Data Portal.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and manage a team of Tier II support personnel providing 24x7x365 bilingual (English/Spanish) support
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to technical inquiries and operational issues related to the ACE cargo processing system
  • Monitor team performance against service level objectives outlined in Addendum A - Performance Requirements Summary
  • Coordinate shift coverage, scheduling, and escalation procedures
  • Guide users through ACE Portal account processes, including:
    • Enrollment and account activation
    • Document management (e.g., Welcome Letters, guidance documentation)
    • Account management for CBP, Trade, and PGA users
  • Provide advanced support for ACE Portal functionality, including ACE Reports and data analysis tools
  • Maintain and update ASD Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Contribute to the TSD Knowledge Management System (KMS) by:
    • Submitting, creating, updating, and reviewing documentation as requested by the Government
    • Develop and maintain user documentation and instructional materials
    • Attend periodic ACE training sessions to maintain subject matter expertise
  • Serve as a liaison between the ASD team and CBP stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission objectives

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • In depth knowledge of CBP and International Trade business operations and procedures
  • Shall be customer-focused, responsive, reliable, and detail-oriented with solid managerial, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) years' experience working with cargo processing systems; preferably the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)
  • Ability to pass a background, credit check, and drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • PMP certification or relevant project management certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with the ACE Secure Data Portal and CBP systems
  • Experience working in a 24x7x365 operational environment
  • Knowledge of federal IT service delivery and performance metrics

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $180,000 annually.
