What You Are:

Versar Global Solutions is seeking an Application Developer.

What You'll Do:

Assist with the design, development, and engineering of software solutions using SQL stored queries, procedures, functions, views, and triggers, HTML, Java script, CSS and Java for web development. You will support development and communicating weekly status reports, assisting in providing demonstrations of code and contributing to other team efforts whenever required. Assisting with the development of production Software Development Plans (SDP), Preliminary Design (PD), and Software Design Documents.

Java Development - 75% of time

Software Design - 15% of time

Unit and Integration Testing - 10% of time

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of application development experience.
• Must have 2-3 years of experience with Java and Unit and Integration testing of code.
• Experience with build tools (preferably Ant and Maven) and CM tools (preferably SVN and Git).
• Ability to obtain a NACI clearance is required.
• Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
• Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
• Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate's start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Good oral and written communication skills with experience in developing and presenting to the customer.
• Experience with API calls a plus.
• DoD; preferably Air Force.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year

Location Requirements

The position will primarily be working onsite on Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH.
