Starting Rate of pay: $26.00/hr - $37.00/hr
Shifts Available and Hours:

Day shift - Mon - Frid (7.00AM - 3.00PM)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish machining speeds, feeds, cutting tools, including geometry, insert grades and coatings, tool holders and work holding method.
  • Troubleshooting and correcting machining processes, including fixtures, tools, and programs to maintain print specifications.
  • Layout/write programs and samples for machining & turning centers with short response times.
  • Start machine and observe its operation to reposition work piece, or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes.
  • Inspect or measure using precision measuring instruments, such as tape measure, calipers, height gage, micrometers, etc.
  • Maintains machine and perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on shop machines.
  • Program and troubleshoot CNC machines in the shop, i.e. Mazatrol, MasterCam, EIA-ISO, etc.
  • Runs more than one machine/production process at a time.
  • Calculates and sets machine controls to position tools, and regulate cutting depth, speed, feed or coolant flow.
  • Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to calculate part dimension compatibility with machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
  • Observe machine trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs and machinery will function properly and produce items that meet specifications.
  • Verify CNC code to engineering models to ensure accuracy.
  • Write, store, and modify original and/or existing CNC programs to enhance efficiency.
  • Store, retrieve, and transfer CNC data as required.
  • Coordinate with other functional areas as needed to implement and change CNC programs.
  • Provide progress, status, and troubleshooting reports to management.

  • May occasionally perform special projects.



Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Prior CMM programming experience required.
