Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Acquisition Analyst in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics' (SOF AT&L) Program Executive Office for SOF Warrior (PEO-SW). PEO-SW accepts and manages risk, takes personal initiative, and ensures results for the Nation's warriors. PEO-SW proves its worth to the fight in every action, every strike, and every operation. SOF Warrior executes with a sense of urgency and purpose in support of SOF operations every day.

This is a full-time position located at MacDill AFB, FL



Responsibilities

    Develop elements of acquisition strategies for PEO-SW's Special Activities program
  • Prepare SOW, PWS, SAMP, APB, FM worksheet, program protection plan, and annual spend plan build for assigned programs
  • Manage program cost, schedule, performance, and risks in accordance to policies and procedures; formulate proposed mitigations as necessary
  • Support/conduct portions of market research
  • Execute price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals, actual and estimated expenditures, and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position; apply funding rules associated with the obligation of multiple types of appropriations
  • Apply precedents found in government contracting case law to specific contracting situations to ensure that legally binding contracting officer decisions are consistent, justifiable, and will be upheld at appellate courts or boards
  • Support contracting negotiation, administration and termination principles, policies, procedures and technical requirements applicable to the full range of contracting actions for a variety of contract types
  • Keep program information current and organize data to submit to management for decision making
  • Prepare reports and briefings on program status, policies and procedures, in support of acquisition program milestones
  • Support cost/benefit analysis
  • Analyze effectiveness and efficiency of program; develop recommendations to improve program operations
  • Answer data calls and inquiries on program policies and procedures
  • Monitor programs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Research ways to eliminate program bottlenecks and barriers to production; support government counterparts in development of solutions to program issues
  • Maintain PEO-SW programmatic portfolio and perform records and file maintenance on file storage repositories


Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility
Certifications: DAWIA Practitioner (formerly Level II) Equivalency in the Program Management field, OR ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Education: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in federal government acquisition programs to include:

  • Knowledge with the processes and documentation for End Use Certificates and Export License requirements
  • Familiarity with documentation and handling of hazardous materials or cargo in a project management role
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System and Defense Acquisition Framework
  • Familiarity with special access program processes
