Description

We are hiring Packaging Operators on 2nd shift (2:30pm-10:45pm M-F) and 3rd shift (10:30pm-6:45am Sunday through Thursday) at our New Hope, MN location. Our Packaging Operators set up, process (packages), and clean equipment in either the Liquids/Semi Solids (LSS) or Oral Solid Dose (OSD) Filling/Packaging area. May provide material handling for the line(s) as well. Requires good attention to detail and ensuring things are done correctly the first time with the ability to execute efficiently and effectively to meet standards as keys for success in this role. This individual will follow all regulations including FDA, DEA, MN OSHA, etc. as well as all operating procedures.

This position pays $18/hr-$25/hr depending on experience and qualifications. 2nd shift pays an additional $1.75/hr in shift pay and 3rd shift pays and additional $2.25/hr in shift pay.

Required qualifications:



  • Requires completion of a high school diploma, General Education Development (GED) or equivalency
  • Experience in production, packaging, or manufacturing


Preferred qualifications:



  • Experience and/or certification in operating a forklift
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical, Federal Drug Administration (FDA) controlled, or other controlled regulatory agencies, or current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) packaging or manufacturing environment


Physical requirements:

Must be able to:



  • stand on concrete floors for extended periods of time
  • lift up to 50 lbs frequently
  • ascend and descend stepladders
  • push or pull up to 900 pounds or equivalency utilizing a manual cart
  • stoop, squat, and bend and frequently reach laterally, and overhead occasionally
  • frequently grasp objects and possess sufficient visual and audio acuity to work safely and accurately in an industrial environment


Additional qualifications:



  • Must possess basic math and reading comprehension skills and be able to read, speak and comprehend instructions in spoken and or written in English, including procedure documents and alphanumeric data
  • Ability to follow standard work and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) along with the ability to focus deeply on tasks and maintain records
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate through computer-based training systems and use during daily work may be required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively as a member of a work team
