Job Description

The Manufacturing Project Manager position is accountable for guiding the direction, prioritization and resources for projects that are small to medium size and complexity within a manufacturing plant. Projects within this scope of responsibility need sound input and direction requiring an experienced manager to represent the manufacturing organization.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Partner with leaders to manage projects and to define project requirements, project scope, timeline, resources, and budget
  • Assist with the selection, prioritization, resource allocation and termination of projects
  • Measure and monitor the value of the project to the organization through aligned project performance metrics
  • Support decision management through timely and consistent communication of performance, changes and impacts
  • Provide early identification of, and intervention in, issues and risks impacting the project results
  • Influence active engagement from the different functional areas impacting the results of the project
  • Support project performance auditing
  • Report monthly portfolio financial results against plan
  • Collaborate with the Amcor PMO (Project Management Office) and promote the use of standard project management templates & methodology, such as project plans, issues/risk log, status reports, etc.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years' experience in a direct manufacturing related role is required
