Gitlab DevSecOps Engineer

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is looking for a proactive DevSecOps Engineer specializing in Gitlab for an on-prem SaaS platform. Ideally, you will be well-versed in most modules of the Gitlab Ultimate platform. You will be instrumental in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, supporting new feature rollouts and patch updates, and optimizing GitLab core images across various environments.

CI/CD Pipeline Development
• • Design and build scalable CI/CD pipelines on GitLab CI.
  • Integrate GitLab with Git, testing frameworks, and external tools like SonarQube, Fortify, Nexus, and other repositories.
  • Automate build, test, and deployment processes, emphasizing performance optimization.
  • Use Docker for consistent application deployment across environments.
• Collaboration and Support
  • Work with customer development teams to optimize pipelines and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Provide guidance on CI/CD best practices and GitLab CI usage.
  • Stay up-to-date on CI/CD trends and advancements, focusing on the GitLab ecosystem.

• Bachelors Degree preferred.
• 8-10 years experience in IT related fields.
• Secret Clearance required.
• Demonstrable experience in CI/CD pipeline development with GitLab CI.
• Expertise in GitLab administration throughout the Gitlab Ultimate platform.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
