PURPOSE:
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Integration and Yield Engineer to join our production engineering team. This role is critical in driving process integration, yield improvement, and defect reduction for a unique application. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in semiconductor process technology, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration, with a proven track record of hands-on problem-solving in a fab environment and leading data driven problem solving teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead process integration efforts across the process flow, ensuring seamless integration of unit processes into robust module flows.
- Use structured problem-solving methods to perform root cause analysis of yield excursions using inline and end-of-line data, electrical test results, personal observations, and failure analysis.
- Utilize defect inspection tools to identify and characterize yield-limiting defects. Own driving solutions to reduce/eliminate the defects.
- Collaborate with process engineers to optimize process windows and improve uniformity, performance, and yield.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through DOE (Design of Experiments), statistical process control (SPC), and advanced data analytics.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flows, specifications, and integration guidelines.
- Interface with fab operations, maintenance, and R&D teams to implement process changes and monitor their impact on yield and reliability.
- Own flying probe electrical test for the process. Automate output and reporting of data from the tools.
- Monitor reworks and reworks rates and implement process solutions to reduce the rework rate.
- Support ramp-up activities from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor process integration or yield engineering in a fab environment.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor process flows, and integration challenges.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Python, MATLAB) and statistical methods.
- Experience with defect inspection, electrical test, and metrology tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
