Construction Payroll Specialist

McMillen, Inc. is looking for a Construction Payroll Specialist to join the team in the Boise, ID office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of payroll experience, with a strong background in prevailing wage requirements and multi-state payroll.

Responsibilities:



  • Process in-house payroll on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare and submit Davis-Bacon/prevailing wage certified payroll reports accurately and on time.
  • Manage multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review and verify time sheets, job codes, and cost allocations for accuracy.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, wage changes, and deductions.
  • Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with accounting and project management teams to support accurate job costing and reporting.
  • Support payroll-related audits and provide required documentation as needed.


Qualifications:



  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; or equivalent relevant experience.
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification (preferred)
  • Experience with Spectrum (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Davis-Bacon/prevailing wage payroll and reporting.
  • In-house payroll processing experience.
  • Multi-state payroll experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience in a construction company environment, including job costing.


Compensation Package:



  • Pay Range: $50,000 - $70,000 (DOE)
