Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Associate Program Manager for the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Manages the research and administrative functions of the CPBH Director.
- Manages the Pre- and Post-Award functions for all grants and contracts associated with sponsored research for the CPBH Director.
- Identifies potential funding opportunities and ensuring timely grant application preparation, assembly, and submission using the Rutgers Research Administration and Proposal Submission System (RAPSS).
- Demonstrates knowledge of submission of grant applications, including preparation and assembly of required Rutgers, Federal, State and Foundation grant materials.
- Adjusts to external and internal grant, financial, and employee timesheet software systems.
- Assists with CPBH faculty recruitment and hosting CPBH events.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology or closely related science field within the last 5 years and 5 years of related professional health research experience.

Certifications/Licenses |
- A valid driver's license would be required for this position.
|
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and understanding of general research principles and practices.
- Experience preparing research grants, budgets, study protocols for IRB.
- Working knowledge of IRB and human subjects' protections.
- Excellent communication skills, including strong English writing and speaking skills.
- Knowledge of computer programs, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work with Zoom and Webex virtual meeting platforms.

Preferred Qualifications |
- 3 years of federal grant experience such as NIH, NSF, DHS.
CITI human subjects training completion.- Broad understanding of social media landscape to help develop interesting and engaging scientific content for lay public.
- Proficiency with Rutgers Research Administration and Proposal Submission System (RAPSS).
