DESCRIPTION:

The Service Technician takes in trade-ins and used equipment then disassembles and rebuilds them to resell to customers at a discounted price. As an Encore Service Technician, you will utilize skills in machine repairs, assembly, and painting to bring machines back to life for resale. Technicians work both individually and as part of a team. Basic electrical knowledge and a fundamental knowledge of mechanics are necessary to be successful.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete disassembly and cleaning of machines from customers
  • Sanding, painting and refinishing surfaces to factory quality
  • Recondition and Certify all Mitsubishi CNC Product line
  • Perform maintenance and repairs to equipment used in the rebuild operations
  • Apply knowledge of EPA and OSHA rules
  • Install and Certify Mitsubishi EDM, Lasers, Milling Machines, and Press Brakes machines
  • Complete reassembly of machines for resale
  • Installation of new parts and components to complete restoration
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Strong mechanical and general electrical or electronics skills required
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of auto body painting techniques
  • Ability to use CAD/CAM software
  • Ability to deburr, sand and paint equipment
  • Highly organized and ability to prioritized projects
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years' work experience in a manufacturing, tool shop or automotive Industry preferred
  • Experience using automotive painting techniques
  • 2+years of machine disassembling and assembling preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Job operates mainly indoors, but exposed to changing weather conditions, such as extreme hot or cold, rain, sun, wind, etc. This job also works near moving mechanical parts and the noise level is moderate to loud. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver's license is required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11-20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 21-50 or more pounds. Also requires constant pushing and pulling of 1-50 pounds and infrequent pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices. Good visual and color acuity are a must to perform this type of job.
