As a Buyer based in Morgan Hill, CA you will have responsibility for the purchasing supporting for our internal Machine Shop including raw material, machined parts and external processing operations.

Key Responsibilities include:



  • Execute purchase orders based on Machine Shop demands.
  • Set priorities and expedite material based on Machine Shop priorities
  • Monitor quality issues and escalate as required
  • Monitor lead-times and work with suppliers to increase agility
  • Manage strategic supplier performance to meet or exceed Anritsu quality, cost and delivery requirements
  • Proactively identify and solve supply chain issues through coordinating activities between suppliers, Planning and Engineering
  • Reduce component costs through analyzing cost data to identify areas of opportunities for contracts and other reduction opportunities
  • Provide input for preferred manufacturer program and commodity strategies
  • This position will be reporting to the Machine Shop Manager based in Morgan Hill


Requirements:



  • AA/BA/BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of Supply Chain aspects of the business
  • Understanding of MRP and associated data
  • Understanding of Production Planning, such as routings and bills of material
  • Ability to analyze data and present conclusions through the use of Excel
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical prints and associated documentation
  • Knowledge of plating, anodizing, alodine, painting and gasketing a plus
  • Experience in a Machine Shop environment a plus
  • SAP S4H knowledge a plus

The annual base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Anritsu Company considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
