Accounting Services is seeking a talented individual to join its Compliance Team. This position is responsible for the oversight of subaward management on sponsored projects and plays an important role in ensuring compliance with federal & state regulations and institutional policy. To be successful in this role, an individual should possess excellent organization skills, an aptitude for higher level critical thinking, and complex problem-solving skills.

Major/Essential Functions


  1. Contribute to the subrecipient risk assessment process by evaluating and determining subrecipient organizational, financial, and compliance risk; recommend risk level and outline special terms & conditions as needed.
  2. Establish and maintain subaward encumbrances in the University financial system.
  3. Ensure compliance with federal regulation on transparency by submitting monthly Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) reports.
  4. Facilitate subaward monitoring efforts and perform desk reviews; oversee assigned subaward compliance reviews.
  5. Monitor federal and state updates as they apply to subawards and recommend subaward policy updates and process efficiencies based on changing requirements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 1 year experience OR combination of education and experience to equal 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications

Business-related degree, CPA or candidate, CRA/CFRA/CPRA or candidate.

Preferred knowledge or skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel training or experience; Ability to identify problems, evaluate options and implement solutions; Ability to communicate effectively in writing for the needs of the audience; Experience in research administration (including Federal regulations and institutional policy); Experience working in TTU specific systems (Banner, FiTS, TechBuy, BRS, Cognos, etc.); Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Pay Statement
