NS2 Mission is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with a strong background in DevOps and Data Engineering to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in AWS cloud services and automation tools, with particular expertise in NiFi and Elasticsearch, which are core to this role. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines using Apache NiFi and related tools.
  • Deploy and manage scalable infrastructure in AWS using CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Optimize and maintain Elasticsearch clusters for data indexing, search, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to support development and integration of data systems.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code and scripting solutions using tools like Bash.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system availability and performance.
  • Maintain secure and compliant cloud environments following industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps/Data Engineering
  • Extensive experience with AWS services: CloudFormation, EC2, S3, RDS
  • Strong proficiency with automation and configuration tools: CloudFormation, Ansible, Git, Jenkins, Bash
  • Programming experience in: Python, Java, or Scala
  • Familiarity with processing tools: Elasticsearch, Spark, NiFi, and/or Docker
  • Experience with various datastore types: Graph, NoSQL, and/or Relational

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with secure AWS architectures and networking
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms
  • CI/CD pipeline development experience
  • Strong problem-solving and system troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
