Are you looking to gain realworld experience in fundraising, donor engagement, and creative design at a missiondriven nonprofit? Join our Development team and help support programs that strengthen our community!

A little bit about the Y...

At the YMCA of the North Shore, we help shape the future of our community through the next generation. As one of the largest nonprofits in the area, we impact 1 out of every 3 people on the North Shore! Our Ys give staff a huge opportunity to make a difference in the lives of local children, adults, and families.

Through our fitness and wellness programs, we create a healthier and happier community. We also partner with local initiatives that support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Staying true to our mission, we make sure everyone can access our programs-regardless of their ability to pay.

This internship will give you valuable insight into nonprofit work, event planning, and fundraising.

As a Development & Events Intern, you'll:

Use tools like Raiser's Edge to help manage donor data and reporting

Create eyecatching materials in Canva for campaigns and events

Assist with planning and preparing for fundraising events

Support donor stewardship and recognition efforts

Track engagement metrics and help keep donor data up to date

This role is perfect for you if you:

Are organized, detailoriented, and eager to learn

Have an interest in nonprofits, fundraising, event planning, or marketing

Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team making a real impact

Have basic familiarity with design tools like Canva or CRM/database tools (experience with Raiser's Edge is a bonus, but not required!)

What you'll gain:

Handson experience in fund development, donor relations, and event planning

Opportunities to build your professional portfolio

Mentorship, networking, and professional growth in the nonprofit sector

At the YMCA, you'll be part of a passionate team working every day to build healthier, stronger communities.
