Job Summary:
Agile Defense is seeking a highly skilled Product Owner to support our Data Technical Support (DTS) program for United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). In this role, you will provide product ownership for multiple agile teams and represent the development team during agile ceremonies. You will be responsible for maintaining the team backlog, leading sprint planning sessions, and performing just-in-time story elaboration to ensure that all user requirements are clearly defined. Additionally, you will define acceptance test criteria, develop and accept user stories, and maintain a strong understanding of enabler work. Your participation in demos as part of an Agile Release Train will also be critical in ensuring that the team's efforts align with overall business objectives and stakeholder expectations. Additionally, you will adapt to evolving responsibilities as the DTS program matures and new challenges emerge.
Job Responsibilities:
Continuously manage the team backlog by reviewing, refining, and prioritizing user stories and tasks. Ensure that the backlog accurately reflects current business priorities and the evolving product roadmap.
Organize and facilitate sprint planning meetings to help teams understand objectives, estimate effort, and plan work effectively.
Conduct Just-In-Time Story Elaboration, providing comprehensive and actionable requirements.
Establish clear, measurable, and testable acceptance criteria for each user story. Work closely with the quality assurance team and stakeholders to ensure that deliverables meet the required standards before final acceptance.
Collaborate with team members to craft well-defined user stories that encapsulate the necessary functionality and business value. Evaluate completed stories against predefined acceptance criteria, formally accepting or requesting further refinement as needed.
Maintain an understanding of the technical work that underpins feature development, including tasks related to infrastructure, technical debt, and refactoring. Ensure that enabler work is integrated seamlessly into the development process.
Actively engage in demos as part of the Agile Release Train to showcase completed work. Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders, using insights to refine future development cycles and enhance overall product quality.
Act as the primary liaison between the development teams and stakeholders, ensuring that all efforts are directed toward meeting product goals.
Facilitate effective communication to ensure that both technical and business perspectives are integrated into decision-making processes.
Position Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a computer science discipline
Demonstrated experience working in agile environments, with a proven track record as a Product Owner.
Strong ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and implement effective strategies.
