Position description

University of California, Davis Department of Theatre and Dance

POSITION:

The Department of Theatre and Dance is searching for a lecturer in performing arts for Fall Quarter for the 2025-26 academic year. To teach the following course:

DRA 010 - Introduction to Performance & Digital Media (4 units)

Course Description: An embodied exploration of the fundamentals of movement, speech, theatre, sound and the foundations of digital media. Collaborative and solo performance (spoken and movement) assignments, selected readings and viewing of live and digital performance productions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

M.F.A. preferred and significant professional theatre experience in dance, directing, digital media as well as a strong teaching background showing commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Substantial background in voice and movement practices such as (such as Fitzmaurice, Rodenburg, Feldenkrais, Viewpoints, Pilates) is desirablee

Salary:

Commensurate with experience
